The first buildAn after-school learning center in rural Mexico — and a bus to the still-developing towns around it
Our first project is a community after-school learning center in a small town in Mexico — one of the few places nearby with running water and electricity in most homes. The villages around it barely have that, so we're not stopping at one town.
Inside, kids will have access to computers, school supplies, first-aid kits, and even clean clothes and shoes. On weekends, the goal is a bus route that picks up and drops off kids from the surrounding villages — so all our youth get the chance to attend free English classes and after-school worship at the center, with the tools and materials to help them in school. Most of all, it's a place to know and learn about God. It comes from all of us, but it's because of Him — and every bit of the glory is His.

Start in the morning
Arm yourself before the day comes at you — first thing, before the noise. Mornings full? Night works too. Just find a window that's yours.
Pray before you read
Ask God for two things: understanding, so your eyes open to it — and discernment, so you can tell real teaching from someone's own opinion.
Take notes as you go
A journaling Bible or a simple notebook works. Highlight in colors that contrast ideas — Proverbs is full of wise vs. foolish. Writing it down makes it stick.
Get the context
A good teacher makes it click. We love David Guzik's Enduring Word — free, chapter-by-chapter and verse-by-verse, with the history behind every passage: Enduring Word.
Compare translations
Stuck on a verse? Read it in another version — ESV, KJV, NLT side by side — and the meaning often opens right up.
Keep a prayer journal
